Welcome Washington Growers League Members to WAFLA

The WGL Board made the decision to dissolve and transition members into WAFLA to ensure long-term sustainability, stronger advocacy, and expanded services for agricultural employers. By joining WAFLA, members gain access to a larger organization with more resources, staff expertise, and statewide and regional impact—while continuing the mission of supporting agriculture.

Washington Growers League is dissolving as a standalone organization. Its mission, relationships, and members are being carried forward through WAFLA.

In January 2026, both boards formally agreed to the merger. The transition is in effect. Members will receive ongoing communications as key milestones are completed.

All Washington Growers League staff will be offered full-time positions with WAFLA. This ensures continuity, preserves institutional knowledge, and allows members to continue working with familiar, trusted staff while benefiting from WAFLA’s expanded team and resources.

Yes. Current WGL members are being onboarded into WAFLA as part of the transition. You do not need to reapply.

WAFLA’s membership structure may differ from WGL’s. Any changes to dues or membership categories will be clearly communicated before your next renewal period. There are no immediate changes unless you are notified directly.

Your existing membership term will be honored during the transition period.

No. WAFLA is committed to maintaining continuity while expanding access to services. In many cases, members will gain additional resources, tools, and support.

WAFLA members receive access to:

• Labor & employment law guidance
• Advocacy and legislative updates
• Webinars and training
• Member Community tools (HR & H-2A question submission, templates, archived content)
• Compliance resources developed specifically for agricultural employers

Yes. All signed housing leases with WGL will be honored for 2026. There will be no disruption to existing lease agreements as part of the transition. If any updates or renewals are needed in the future, WAFLA staff will communicate those details well in advance.

Yes. WAFLA serves agricultural employers in Washington and the Pacific Northwest, while also supporting members operating across state lines.

WAFLA continues to advocate on behalf of agricultural employers at the state and regional level, working with trusted partners and policymakers to protect and advance the interests of growers and employers.

Yes. Key issues important to WGL members will continue to be represented through WAFLA’s advocacy efforts.

Yes. WAFLA will host:

• Welcome webinars for former WGL members
• An in-person welcome event in Yakima in March
• Ongoing educational and networking events

No. Events are optional but encouraged as a way to stay informed and connected.

WGL will no longer operate as a standalone organization. Communications, events, and services will now be delivered under the WAFLA name.
